Jesus Christ is alive and He wants us to Plant Roots, Grow Strong, and Bear Fruit!
PLANT ROOTS
To plants roots means to be firmly rooted in Christ! This starts with understanding the good news of the Gospel; who Jesus is and what He has done for us. Since the Gospel demands a response, we should turn from our sin and receive Christ as our Savior and Lord. Salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone, and when we believe we receive the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit. After this, we should go public with our faith through Believer’s Baptism. Baptism shows our identification with Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection.
GROW STRONG
To grow strong means we are maturing in our faith! This starts with attending a weekend gathering, where we worship the Lord and are taught His Word. It continues with joining a Calvary Group or Calvary Class during the week, where we can be part of a community of friends who love and support one another. It also includes having our personal devotions, where we spend time daily in prayer and meditating on the Scriptures. As we walk in a relationship with the living God, we need to be filled with His Spirit, in order to live victoriously as His disciples.
Bear Fruit
Bearing fruit means we live with purpose! Purposeful living includes loving and serving God and others, while we abound in thankfulness. We choose to become generous people with attitudes of gratitude for all the Lord has done. The Lord Jesus said, “I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit.” (John 15:5). As we abide in Christ, He produces the Fruit of the Spirit in and through us, which is, “love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.” (Galatians 5: 22- 23)
GET BAPTIZED
Baptism is a time of celebration at CalvaryPSL! By being baptized a person is saying they have decided to become a lifelong follower of Jesus Christ and they want the world to know!

Jesus said He came to serve, not to be served. He also taught His disciples to be servants. As we obey His command to serve we begin to become more like Jesus and take our faith to the next level. We offer many ways you can exercise the gifts God has given you through serving.
