The COVID-19 virus has left a negative impact on many people’s lives and CalvaryPSL is committed to BE THE HOPE of Jesus during this difficult time.  Some are fearful about the future. Others are jobless and are experiencing financial difficulties. The elderly and immunocompromised are feeling anxious and afraid. This is a time when we need to BE THE CHURCH in our community by helping others EXPERIENCE hope, SHARE hope, and GIVE hope.

EXPERIENCE HOPE

Many of you are facing a storm right now and are in need of EXPERIENCING HOPE. We recognize COVID-19 is causing challenges beyond sickness. As a church, we are committed to helping meet your various needs and the needs of others in our community. The Pastors, Staff, Elders, and Prayer Team of CalvaryPSL are praying for you.  We know the most powerful weapon we have to combat fear, the spread of the virus, and healing for those affected by COVID-19 is prayer. To share your care and prayer needs, please click the “Prayer Button”. We are partnering with the Treasure Coast Food Bank and Graceway Village to help assemble and pass out drive-thru meals to the hurting people in our community. If you and your family are in need of food, here is a list of options for you.

Jesus said, “For I was hungry and you gave me food. I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you clothed me. I was sick and you visited me. I was in prison and you came to me.” – Matthew 25:35-36 (ESV)

SHARE HOPE

If you would like to volunteer to SHARE HOPE during this crisis, sign up to volunteer at The Treasure Coast Food Bank or Graceway Village. Each organization is taking every precaution necessary for health, safety, and well-being. The best practices from national, state, and local governmental officials and health authorities are being exercised. This includes hand washing and sanitizing, any protective equipment, exercising social distancing recommendations, and organizing volunteers in groups of ten or less. In addition, volunteers are being asked to stay home when they are sick or when they have been exposed to someone with the COVID-19 virus, according to the guidelines of the CDC (please visit www.CDC.gov for more information).

For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many. – Mark 10:45 (ESV)

GIVE HOPE

Right now, the need in our community is great. Many have lost their jobs and are struggling financially, but some of you are able to give generously to help. Here are two practical ways you can GIVE HOPE in addition to your regular tithes and offerings. You can donate directly to the Treasure Coast Food Bank or Graceway Village.

Jesus said, “It is more blessed to give than to receive.” – Acts 20:35 (ESV)
