His Care Ministry
Our "His Care" ministry prepares and delivers meals for those who are unable to care for themselves due to an injury or illness, the death of a family member, or the arrival of a new baby.
How to Join
There are two steps to join the His Care Ministry Team. Step one is to fill out a Ministry Application (available at the Welcome Table). Please return the completed application to Pastor Teddy Sanders. Step two is to complete an information card and mark the box labeled “His Care Meal Ministry”. Drop the information card into a tithe box and someone from the team will contact you with further information.
FAQs
How many meals will I be responsible for providing?
Each member of the team is responsible for providing one meal per recipient. (If a family needs meals for one week, then you will provide a meal for one evening.)
How will I know if there is a need?
You will be contacted by the His Care Meal Ministry Coordinator and she will schedule a date, if your schedule permits.
When should meals be delivered?
Meals should be delivered between 5:30pm and 6:30pm. This will also be coordinated with you by the Ministry Coordinator.
What if the recipients have food allergies or special diets?
There will be an assessment that is made by the Ministry Coordinator and the recipients. The Ministry Coordinator will inform you of any allergies or specific diets.
What are the areas/location of the delivered meals?
The Ministry Coordinator will try to schedule meal deliveries near your place of residence. (Note: Sometimes this is not always possible)
Do I have to take the time to cook?
This is extremely helpful, but not necessary. You could also purchase a full course meal from a vender, (Chillis, Bob Evans, Applebee’s Restaurants etc.) and deliver it to the recipients.
Are there other ways of serving in His Care?
Yes. There are times when light house keeping may need to be done, running errands, baby sitting for new mothers, or just sitting and keeping someone company.
